    Keeping tabs on your blood pressure can prevent complications down the line. Even though I’ve achieved and maintain measurements below the normal guidelines, my cardiologist reminds me all the time to watch for changes happening within my body. And so, I am reminding you to regularly monitor your blood pressure at home and visit your healthcare provider for routine check-ups. Early detection of elevated blood pressure can allow for timely interventions and lifestyle adjustments.

  • Stay Hydrated:
    Hydration is key to maintaining optimal health. I encourage to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Proper hydration helps maintain the elasticity of blood vessels and ensure efficient blood flow. Aim for at least eight glasses of water daily and increase your intake if you're physically active.

  • Quit Smoking and Limit Alcohol:
    Both smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can adversely affect blood pressure. It is said quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do for your heart health. Reducing alcohol intake is equally important, as excessive drinking can raise blood pressure. I urge and encourage you to seek support and resources to help you make these critical lifestyle changes.
